There are some who feel walking barefoot on the ground beneficially discharges the body, reducing free radicals in the body, among other things. Now, on the 3d pop thing, most people do not have lenses that have/show it, so they don't have an idea of what it is. Your effort to show it in your videos and let people know what lenses will produce it is commendable. Bokeh, sorry, Toneh, is not character.

About the 3d pop thing of that Nikon lens: I don't see a problem there. That guy who it's about for some part in the video bought the lens, he is happy with it and talks about some 3d pop. All that stuff reminds me of CD audio vs. mp3 which was a big thing some decades ago. People said "I can tell you the difference between a 320 kbps mp3 and CD audio right away!" Blind tests showed though that there just was no audible difference. But still... to each his own, right? If the guy who loves his lens for the 3d pop, then why not? Maybe I'm overseeing something and he has just better eyes. I think we just shouldn't say things like "he just doesn't get it, but i do!" Who cares in the end? The tech has become so good in the past years that I think this shouldn't be so much anymore what it's about. Rather the story and stuff... I don't know

Hi, I would use the Voigty 58 more often for those videos. It is actually my preferred portrait lens. Those 85s cause too much compression and the whole thing looks contrived. By the way, to my eyes the Canon has more pop than the Zeiss.

It seems to be wrong exposure when aperture go 5,6, especially leaves become terrible almost clipping, both lenses.5:07 12:17 . Or maybe blurring make clipped parts less annoying.

The Nikon 85 1.8 had more 3D pop and smoother bokeh than the canon 1.2 with its soap bubble bokeh. Maybe because it has no aspherical elements and the canon does.

I enjoy my Zeiss lenses for almost all their perfections/imperfections, I’ll leave the 3D pop debate for you to deliberate on 😊, I’ll go with my personal feelings and I like what I get from Zeiss. Been entertained, keep going, shout out from BC. Take care.

Wait a minute that's a bunch of BS that Olympus cameras can film video? I have a bunch of Olympus cameras and I read the manuals to all those cameras and never did they say anything about filming video. I bought some Panasonic cameras to film videos when I need to.

The only problem with high speed electronics is you stage a buffer optically then you program it analog to the optical buffer. So every time you do something, the wee cmos bios has an electrical touring algorithm pile; c1 >< c2 + c3 + c4 ? So when you got oldy imx415, he use half the tuning drive on each dphy 2.0 channel. But if your company is face painty, daddy go country time millionaires, its never gonna be upgraded. The 5.6 looks really good, building the subject was never 4k baby mario in hell.

Fujifilm's Reala Ace addition is great, so far only a little bit of testing, but I love green & blue landscape SOOC photos it produced. Hope, Fuji will catch up with autofocus, as I'm shooting also people, and dogs, cats and birds. Or, that Panasonic would release successor to Lumix GX9 with PDAF. But, it would be a hard decision about switching back to MFT.

Am I the only one who thinks shallow depth of focus is way overused? Kasey made fun of Toneh for going overboard with the toneh, but look at the large phallus in the background of this video. I think there's a time and place for unnatural-looking scenes with a razor thin focus plane, but it's annoyingly overused in scenes where it makes no sense. Let's stick with F5.6, people. That's what things look like in real life.

Yellow shirts generally have less 3D pop than red shirts, especially on green backgrounds.

The Canon wins, hands down, on the main shot imo. But the pop jumps out of the Zeiss on one or two of your Vegetable Police shots there at the end.

I still can't see "pop" whatever it is. However what I do see is a magnificent lens that gives a fantastic look. It doesn't look 3d to me, but it is something special. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to see 3d pop but I still want that look. Love the look of that 85mm.
